2017

A great classy fun jazz band – just what your fundraiser needs?

May 13th – We’re back playing for KEEN! This is a wonderful nonprofit that helps kids with disabilities get and stay physically active. We’ve played for them a lot through the years (in fact last time we played for them, we helped them raise quite a bit of money). It’ll be at the Si Commons at St. Louis University High.

June 24th – We love playing wineries, and we’re playing a very special one in Illinois tonight. It’s beautiful, has great food and drink, and you can even stay over. It’s the Hidden Lake Winery, and we’ll be playing 6-10. So let’s see you out there!

July 14 – Back at the Gatesworth! One our favorite regular places we play. Always a fun crowd and Kevin loves playing that beautiful Yamaha grand piano ….

July 21- Very happy to be back at the The Third Degree Glass Factory.  This is fun for the whole family – they have juggling acts, glass blowing demonstrations, great food and drink and art for say!  7:30-9 – and it’ll be a fun instrumental trio version of the band.

August 12 – Wedding! This is really cool – a woman studying at John Hopkins is getting married in her family’s home in Kirkwood. We’ll be actually supplying the wedding music as well. It’s a small affair, just 60 or so people, and we are honored to be part of it.

September 9th  – Road Trip! We’re going back to Morthland College in Southern Illinois for a fundraiser. Last year was their first and we went even though it was a bit of a drive – ended up being so worth it. Great people, and we’re honored to be part of their important event this year! Special guest Tina Hassler will be sitting in on vocals with us for this one.

October 26th – Instrumental trio version of the band is playing a swanky open house at a condo in the Central West End! They are serving martinis so naturally they thought of us – looking forward to this one!

November 6th – Special Charity Event held by the LoRusso Family!  We don’t need an excuse to go to the Hill, but we are looking forward to playing Rose of the Hill for a good cause: the local chapter of the National Council for Alcohol & Drug Abuse (you’ve seen their Super Bowl commecials for the past three years).

December 3rd – Christmas Party for St. Dominic at Genesis! This will just be Kevin and Barb as the 4 happily becomes the 3 or the 2 as needed.

December 15 – The Steve Kauffmann Trio returns to The Third Degree Glass Factory! Come to this “boogie” themed family-fun event and do your final holiday shopping with unique gifts from local artists. This group, headed by KM4’s sax player, plays fun early rock and R&B instrumentals from the 1950s and 1960s. Come join us! We play 7 to 9.

December 16 – Another special corporate holiday party – this is the third time Advantage Capital has invited us to be part of their special end-of-year event.  These are always equal parts classy and fun.  Special guest Tina Hassler will be sitting in on vocals with us for it.

December 30th – Wedding!  We love ’em. This will be especially classy, as it’s the Cottage in Forest Park, which the Kevin Mitchell 4 has played before. The bride and groom are both musicians, and we’ll see if we can get them to sit in with us!
