Let’s meet and talk about your big day! … it’s the time of the year when a lot of people start booking The Kevin Mitchell 4 for their upcoming wedding. It’s always exciting to us to be part of a couple’s special day.
So how did you two meet …. ?
One of the things I’m quick to do is meet with the couple as soon as they are interested in the band. Just Saturday afternoon, I met with a wonderful couple, Dan and Margaret, at my “office.” (I’m fortunate in that my day gig is that of a writer and get to work from home, which makes me quite flexible for visits.) I get to learn how they met, and tell them about my amazing friends who are also amazing musicians that play along side me. Also it’s great to answer questions, discuss possibilities, and see how we fit into their big day.
We provide a sheet for them to fill out — details of their wedding, who is making announcements, bridal party, father daughter dance, etc. It’s really helpful because it gets the couple thinking.
